Dear Sir or Madam, I’m contacting you in regards to a photo call the organisation, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), would like to do at the British Embassy in Vilnius (British Embassy, 2 Antakalnio LT-10308 Vilnius ) on Monday July 14th at 12 noon. PETA’s campaign is against the use of Canadian black bear’s skins for the British Royal Guard’s caps. Sadly, each cap can take the skin of one entire bear. The event is as follows - Each person will have a British flag tattooed on their bottom and be wearing a fake bearskin hat. We will be holding a banner which reads ‘Bare Skin not Bear Skin’ (and the Lithuanian equivalent). Each participant will be wearing flesh coloured thongs. Nipples will be covered with nipple pasties and we will hold our arms across our chests as well. We will set up at approximately 11:45, the photo call will start at 12 noon sharp and last approx 30 minutes. Those involved and all props will be out of the area by 12:45. There will be a maximum of 6 people from PETA present. We’ve done several of these types of media photo calls before so understand the legalities of it all and ensure that all body parts, required by law to be covered, are.
